Killed Hayes 2.0 Final Edition

Regardless of how he finishes the season I owe you an apology Killian Hayes I am sorry I wrote you off. There i said it all your haters happy now! Man I absolutely ripped this kid from top down as a person, as a frenchman, as a basketball player you name it. I was done with him he was just so god awful to start this season and had never really shown flashes going into this third season of his. Wow!!! has he proved me wrong in every single way imaginable I have to make sure it is known I was wrong and you can play basketball lol. So their you have it, I don't want to hear it from anyone saying he's trash anymore. Now I have said in the last week already, and i'm not going to take any sort of credit for this rise in pay. But, man did he get the message one way or another.  This kid had seemingly found his way and I am ecstatic for him and hope they don't trade him anymore. Please don't trade him Troy, I am apologizing! Where do we even start with the praise for Killia...

Derek Lalonde Coach of the Year Candidate

So a few weeks ago there was all this hype here. People starting talking a lot about the Red Wings head master and his coaching staff. A lot of fair weather fans starting popping up and showing out. Then a small losing streak happened injuries happened and it really showed in the fan base. I don't think I've seen so many people complain and become internet coaches then over the last few weeks. Most of these internet coaches wouldn't even know which skate goes on which foot, but now know how PP entry's work like the back of their hand. That is hard for us diehards too keep biting your tongue, while confidently knowing that the wins will come. We all do it though, have too sometimes, and just let the fair weather fans fade away. Do they have a point here though that this team is not quite there yet? Of course they do and its so obvious it hurts. This is a 3 year rebuilding team with a first year head coach, what were your expectations? It seems that most people don't ...

Tigers Not Out For Blood

The Annual overhyped Winter Meetings are rolling along in full swing. There was a feeling of uncertainty for most of the Tigers fanbase you could feel all around late in the season. Scott Harris coming on gave a little glimpse of what is too come with the team finally recognizing they just simply weren't good enough. It should have been expected he would let a lot of the bad signings and average position players walk with how poor this teams defense and hitting have been. I mean you can only drag along the same group of guys for so long when your underperforming the way they have been. So we all kind of saw this coming we knew that there had to be a bit of change incoming. The question from me a few weeks ago was does the team make a push for Miggy's last year or focus on the future? Well we just got our answer straight from the horses mouth clear as day we have an idea how this team will be shaped going forward. That may not sit well with a lot of folks wanting to win now, I s...

The Peculiar Case of Cade

Hey who doesn't think a sure fire number 1 pick falling is your lap is a good thing. I mean the Pistons were gifted by the Basketball overlords or maybe they just got lucky who knows but Cade Cunningham has showed he can be a top Guard in the league. With the way he took the team by storm last season and cemented the scouts ratings. But, here is the part that really matters that season doesn't matter at all. The Pistons weren't winning anything they weren't even in the playoff talk they made it clear they were going to take their sweet time. But that wasn't the headline coming into this year now was it? This team had a lot of hype deservedly so and they were primed to have a huge year compared too the last few.  Yet here we are almost on too december and its already mock draft season. I wrote about how this trend could be broken if they came together on a big road swing. That almost happened... Almost and that may actually be a problem. Listen they were 3 wins in wi...

Campbell's Thanksgiving Message

No one likes bills especially when they are due on Thanksgiving, I mean come on how could you like that. Alright, alright ill stop it wasn't that punny anyway. But seriously Bills on Thanksgiving Ewwww who created this matchup at least these two power punchers will have an extra few days to recover after they haymaker each other into submission, I wasn't wanting to preview this game but now how can you not with all the story lines, or should I have said Lions... Ok full stop this time. This game regardless of records, storylines or puns, is a heavyweight bout of power running teams and head knocking nose stuffing defenses made to make plays. With plenty of talent in the passing attacks and ball hawking safeties to go a round this seems like a matchup that will surely leave a bruise. There is no arguing the tenacity and shear force that will be laid upon Ford Field. So lets add in those storylines and records, no more puns just the real nitty gritty stuff this matchup is sure to...

Pistons Not Firing On All Cylinders

My oh my did we all have higher expectations for this Pistons team or what!? Go on tell about how they should be winning more!!! But no, they are not playing well straight up they are just not in sync. Casey continues his same rotation with 1s and 2s even though it doesn't really work and continues to not go with the hot hand. They have never really held a lead and have been down by 10 in every  game this season at some point. I will give them one thing that starting 5 can straight score and has given them a chance too win most of their games thus far. So its not like the last few years where were all like, oh no we suck again, credit: Waterboy. Yes I just went their, and if any other big time Pistons fans don't agree they have been living under a rock. Yes you know the guy who is just always optimistic and borderline creeper status, because he just refuses to accept that his team is booty cheeks. But hey I would rather have that guy on my team them someone who is just downri...

Wings Taking A Fall Flight

Can I just start with saying man winning feels good. It is something that A Red Wings fan should be used after all its one of the most storied franchises in hockey. Though things just haven't seemed to go that way under Coach Blashill it was always a winning culture in hockeytown. You saw a lot of folks casually writing them off before the holidays even hit season after season after he took over. Now it looks as though those times are long gone and we have a head coach in Derek Lalonde that wants to win all the time. So the Yzerplan seems too be taking off providing some early wins. Everybody loves wins! This got me thinking, not only about how far this team could go in the near future, but how they are really built to win now. I could throw a boatload of stats showing how despite a few down years are still one of the highest winning teams ever and hold leads against just about every team out there. I really thought this was more widely known then it is but here's the records ...
