Campbell's Thanksgiving Message
No one likes bills especially when they are due on Thanksgiving, I mean come on how could you like that. Alright, alright ill stop it wasn't that punny anyway. But seriously Bills on Thanksgiving Ewwww who created this matchup at least these two power punchers will have an extra few days to recover after they haymaker each other into submission, I wasn't wanting to preview this game but now how can you not with all the story lines, or should I have said Lions... Ok full stop this time.
This game regardless of records, storylines or puns, is a heavyweight bout of power running teams and head knocking nose stuffing defenses made to make plays. With plenty of talent in the passing attacks and ball hawking safeties to go a round this seems like a matchup that will surely leave a bruise. There is no arguing the tenacity and shear force that will be laid upon Ford Field. So lets add in those storylines and records, no more puns just the real nitty gritty stuff this matchup is sure to be about. Will the Bills come on strong with their overpowering pace or will it be the Lions who show back up on national T.V. and continue an impressive streak. I have no clue But, their are injuries all over both rosters to key players. The Bills have been on a work vacation at Ford Field. Josh Allen is tossing picks around like turkeys at the donation center. The Bills Mafia have turned into snowblowers. Yet somehow they beat the detroit browns last week despite it all. And now they are playing on thanksgiving in Detroit where you just never know. Meanwhile Big Homie Jamal Williams just keeps scoring. The Lions are having their best game after game after game. Their young defense is looking to have multiple superstars. They are getting a lot of weapons back soon on both sides of the ball. Not too mention they are looking to win a fourth game, 4th!!! I mean who saw that coming after their start nobody absolutely nobody don't lie. Holy cow is their storyline after storyline going into this game. Something has got to give for these teams they cant both walk away with a W on Thanksgiving day I do know that.
So just how can the Lions pull out a victory, with so much happening going into this game. Dan Campbell that's how yes the big man at the top needs to be even better all the lights will shine even brighter then ever on him this Thursday. He just outcoached Brian Dabol who most of you know just came over from the Bills but certainly you cant just carbon copy a game plan. Also, its a short week right not a lot of time to revamp your strategies with players still on the mend. But I do think think that gives him a bit of an edge up because the Giants attack is crafted from the same man that curated the Bills for years. But man does Campbell have his hands full with this Bills team they are just outright better then the Giants all over. Yes the Giants have Barkley to key on, but the Bills have a two headed attack that is arguably harder to contain. Jones is never going to be as good as Allen and I didn't even mention former Viking Mr. Diggs. He knows what its like to play here and likely wont face Okudah. On top of that they are just flat out better on defense all around everywhere no questions asked. This game has too be Dan Campbells best coached top down if he wants his team too have a chance at pulling out a W. There are not a lot of teams that are just nasty like the Bills. He has too be on top of it you cant afford any slipups against this Bills team their just too strong and talented. They can score from anywhere in anyway anytime. Your not going to out streetball them with the players the Lions have. So Campbell has his work cut our for him he has too be better then ever he has a lot of excuses to not win this game. But, there are even more reasons for him to coach out a W on Thanksgiving and he has too do just that out coach Coach McDermott. Whether it is just out bullying him or outwitting him he has too find a way to disrupt their plans and outlast them for a dub. If their was ever a game for him to prove he has the special sauce to really show everyone just how close the Lions really are this week is it. He just has too have a day and really show the NFL that were here and were for real. Winning this game sends a serious message in a big way to the rest of the league that the Lions are not only as close as he keeps saying they are. It's also that they can do more then just hang with anybody in case you haven't been around this season or last too see the historically close losses. Biting kneecaps off only gets you so far he he has a chance too make a statement on Thanksgiving and I for one believe he can and can in a big way. Coach Campbell it is your time to show us what you have been talking about all season long and prove that these Lions are not the same.
